Gold Party Canada (“GPC”) is engaged in the business of appraising and purchasing unwanted gold and platinum jewellery and collectibles from customers, including but not limited to: rings, bracelets, necklaces and coins in all karats and conditions (“Unwanted Gold”).

 

From time to time, GPC uses sealable, translucent plastic bags for the efficient pick-up and/or shipment of its customer’s Unwanted Gold (“Gold Party Packs”).

 

As a Gold Party Host and/or Gold Party Guest and/or any participant of a Gold Party Event involving the use of Gold Party Packs, you certify that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and are the legal owner of the Unwanted Gold items you wish to sell and have placed inside the Gold Party Pack provided.

 

You further agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions herein, as well as on the Gold Party Packs provided, if applicable. GPC reserves the right, but is not required or obligated, to request documentation certifying proof of ownership of your Unwanted Gold.  

 

GPC in its sole discretion will determine the value of your Unwanted Gold using the same appraisal techniques and best practices as it does at all of its Gold Party Events.

GPC will guarantee against the loss of:

 

• Unwanted Gold placed inside a Gold Party Pack (in the manner set forth on said Gold Party Pack) and picked up by a Gold Party Representative, up to seven hundred fifty dollars ($750).
   

• Unwanted Gold placed inside a Gold Party Pack and shipped with FedEx (in the manner set forth on said Gold Party Pack), up to seven hundred fifty dollars ($750).

 

If the contents of a Gold Party Pack exceed seven hundred fifty dollars ($750), GPC assumes no further liability. Any reimbursement for a lost FedEx shipment will be issued only once a FedEx claim is settled.

 

GPC reserves the right to reject delivery of any FedEx shipment which appears to be opened, damaged or tampered with, at which point the shipment will be returned. GPC assumes no liability for any such attempted delivery or the return of any such items.
 

Once it has concluded its detailed appraisal, GPC will make a written or oral offer for your Unwanted Gold. Upon acceptance, GPC will send immediate payment via Interac e-Transfer or paper cheque, depending on the preference you have indicated. It is understood that receipt of payment from GPC concludes the transaction and that GPC bears no further obligation or responsibility.
 

You have the right to reject GPC’s offer for your Unwanted Gold, or to request that your Unwanted Gold be returned, at any point up until such time that you have accepted GPC’s written or oral offer and received payment. In the event that you reject GPC’s offer for your Unwanted Gold and/or request that your Unwanted Gold be returned, GPC will make every effort to return your Unwanted Gold swiftly and without delay. It is understood that the return of your Unwanted Gold voids the transaction and that GPC bears no further obligation or responsibility.
 

GPC shall not be liable for damages. This includes, but is not limited to, consequential, incidental, punitive and loss of opportunity or profit. By sending your Unwanted Gold to Gold Party for processing, you accept this limitation of liability.
